Recently, writer/director Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and more) was in Austin to open his new movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The film opened at Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar due to his love of Austin. He, along with Jason Schwartzman and Michael Cera (both starring in the film) thought that Austin was the perfect place to open this new film because the attitude is so cool here. Edgar Wright, said simply, ” you don’t have to explain it to the audience…they just get it”. Further, he went on to talk, in his interview with The Morning X, with Deb and Jason that he loves the tastes of Austin. Ranging from Tito’s Vodka to Holy Cacao. He talked about coming to Holy Cacao and getting our Cake Shake. He said it was akin to the Monty Python skit when someone offered him a cookie after word…”it’s only wafer thin”…he thought he would explode! Well, Edgar, we are just doing our part.
He actually came back the next day to the trailer with a friend who got 2 dozen Cake Balls to take back to London. Hmmm, new location???
